I realized that a lot of the time, unfortunately, my friendships depend on convenience. How often we hang out, talk or see each other depends on how far apart we live, on the weather, or whether I have any bus tickets left.

I don't know. I just had an interesting conviction from reading that and it made me reflect on my friendships now, on how much I value them or on how much I've allowed convenience to be a factor in their quality.
