Advice to my future self (and anyone who can relate).

1. Just because you don't get recognized for your work it doesn't mean you're doing a bad job.
You can be working your butt off and no one may ever notice but if you genuinely know in your heart that you're giving your 110% dedication and effort, just remember that the Lord has the greatest reward for you in heaven!

2. It's okay to make mistakes.
You're not Jesus for a reason.

3. Don't complain about the things you have the power to change. (This is one of your mottos, by the way)
The amount of effort, time and energy you spent whining and complaining could have been used to make your situation better.

4. You have one sole unchanging reason to stay positive.
Your guaranteed spot in heaven.

5. Sacrifice convenience for community.
Don't allow the excuse of not having enough money, time, energy, etc. hold you back from meeting up with someone or genuinely growing with them. The amount of effort you put into being with someone just shows how much you value that friendship.

6. If you can do something good do it. (This is also one of your mottos)
Proverbs 3:27. If you are capable of doing something that will benefit someone else, even if it doesn't do any good for you, do it. You were given the potential and capability to do that for a reason - don't let it go to waste! James 4:17.

7. Don't pray for change of circumstances.
Instead of asking God to change your situation ask him to change your heart; he isn't your genie. When you learn to trust him with all that you are, that's when he really becomes Lord of your life.

8. Don't just say, do.
You've had enough fancy words shot at you and not enough action to back them up. Break the cycle of broken promises and words unkept by following through with what you say.

9. Smile.
God gave you a nice set of 32 pieces of teeth for a reason!

10. Sing terribly to embarrass your friends, always.
