Road to Recovery
You've got to start small.
Don't overwhelm yourself, thinking you'll get it right away. Righteousness is a journey. Though we have already been made new, the 'work out your salvation' part is neither automatic nor immediate. But our comfort is this:
Jesus Christ [is] our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations.
Grace powers obedience, and since grace cannot be earned, isn't it amazing to know it is a gift we can never lose?
Nevertheless, it is a gift in which we must believe, trust and channel into deepening our faith and lives unto Christ.
